A Book I Wrote – 2025

Nehru Centre Library, Mumbai and MomSays present A Book I Wrote – 2025

‘A Book I Wrote’ is an annual initiative of Nehru Centre Library and MomSays to encourage children to write and give them a sense of accomplishment by creating a beautifully designed book with their poems and stories. These books are a testament to the fact that children have the ability to ‘author’ their ideas.

The book comprises winning poems and short stories written by children between 6 and 11 years as part of Nehru Centre Library and MomSays’ inter-school Children’s Day writing competition.

The theme for A Book I Wrote: 2025 is ‘Happiness is….’ By encouraging children to write about what makes them happy, we want to draw their attention to positive instances like enjoying their favourite treat, spending time with their friends, being around their pet, joyful situations and people that make them truly happy. This is an important life-skill that we must inculcate in our children.

For this year’s competition, the child’s writing must adhere to 100 words for poems and 300 words for short stories. Please note: Entries must be only submitted as a WORD file.

Please fill the form below to enter the competition. The competition ends on August 8, 2025.
